Demelza Hospice Care
for Children invited Cygnets Model Boat Club to
attend their presentation evening on the 20th
of May 2010 at The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood.
Jack Diaper, Peter Clayton and his Wife and Paul
Dengate and his wife attended on behalf of the club
as the club had been nominated for an award which
came as a great surprise to all concerned. The
Cygnets Model Boat Club had been entered into the
"Group of the Year" award for our efforts with the
River Marathon in 2009, although we didn't win we
did receive a commendation certificate, see below,
which was presented to the Club by Jayne Torvill,
Demelza's Vice President. Additional information can
