Yesterday (Friday 27th April 2012) a number of Members from the IC Section launched and ran their boats from the hardstanding where the old compound used to be. This was reported to the Council by a worker in the Park which caused the Council to telephone the Committee and complain. It was also reported that the Member's vehicles were not moved to the hardstanding area next to the Disabled Fisherman's Area.
The same was reported on Wednesday when a number of Members from the Sailing Section were at the Lake and again did not move their vehicles after unloading them.
May I remind Members that YOU MUST run from inside the Compound and YOU MUST move your vehicles to the hardstanding next to the Disabled Fisherman's Area after unloading.
The Council have made it clear that they are allowing us to drive vehicles in the park on the understanding that they will be moved when we have unloaded. If they revoke their decision we will all have to park in the main car park and carry our boats and equipment to the lakeside; I'm sure that no-one would wish that to happen.
PLEASE RUN ONLY FROM INSIDE THE COMPOUND AND MOVE YOUR VEHICLES ONCE UNLOADED.
